Painting, to me, is a party - a celebration of the emotions that arise when confronted with the visual. To convey these emotions, I use strong color, expressionistic brushwork and a broad tonal range on a wide variety of subjects - I cannot limit myself to one genre as there is so much out there to discover. I resist labeling as well, as I feel that art, like life, is an ever-changing dynamic, an energy to be enjoyed and interpreted as it arises, each situation observed and executed with an open mind and a fresh insight.

I am a licensed architect, as well as an artist, which does tend to bring additional discipline to my discoveries, such as a heightened awareness of spatial composition, documentation of my processes, and execution of my themes in series to give the viewer a more comprehensive insight into my vision.
